Marla J. Rosin calls Jacksonville home, but practiced law primarily in
Tampa upon her graduation from law school in 1988. She received her law
degree from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida,
and is proud to be a member of the class that had a 100% Florida Bar Exam
passage rate for all first time examinees. Marla began her legal career
while in law school, serving the needs of the elderly with Bay Area Legal
Services as an intern in the Elder Law Clinic. While in private practice,
Marla focused primarily on family law matters, opening her own law firm
within 2 years of graduation, and welcoming her brother, Scott, into the
practice upon his graduation from law school in 1991. Together Marla and
Scott represented clients in various matters, but focused primarily on
bankruptcy and family law issues.
Marla was recognized by the Hillsborough County Bar Association for her
extraordinary contribution to those who could not otherwise afford legal
services and was presented with a “Have a Heart” award for
her efforts on behalf of Bay Area Legal Services. Marla also served on
the unlicensed practice of law committee to help protect the public from
those who would otherwise prey on people in need.
In 2001, Marla became certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family
Mediator and more recently as a Circuit Civil Mediator.
Marla has handled high end dissolution of marriage cases, contested step-parent
adoptions, contested guardianships and appeals. No case is too small,
and no case too large. Marla enjoys getting to know her clients and helping
them through the stressful situations in which they find themselves.
