Anny Leon
Senior Associate Attorney
Anny G. Leon, is an associate at Owenby Law, P.A. that is dedicated to providing professional legal services to clients facing family law matters including dissolution of marriage, paternity, enforcement/modification proceedings, alimony, child support, child custody/time-sharing and parental responsibility, equitable distribution, dependency and pre or postnuptial agreements. Anny recognizes that divorce and other family law matters present emotional and financial obstacles for every family, and she provides compassionate and dedicated guidance to address those issues.
Background and experience
Anny was born in Venezuela and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, making her fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Having an interest in better understanding emotions, and people, Anny completed a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Florida. She continued her education at Florida Coastal School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. Shortly after, she continued onto obtain her Master’s in Business Administration, making her a well-rounded attorney.
While in law school, Anny was the president of the Volunteer Immigrant Student Association, which worked closely with the Human Rights & Immigration clinic hosting events such as Citizenship Day. She also participated as a clinician with the Human Rights & Immigration clinics handling pro-bono cases such as human trafficking, asylum, and U-visas. She volunteered at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid as a translator and legal intern. Additionally, she participated in the Juvenile Street Law clinic working closely with troubled youth in the community.
Prior to joining the firm, Anny practiced immigration law, guiding families through the challenging U.S. Immigration system handling a wide range of immigration cases such as asylum, naturalization, removal, and family petitions. She also has a background in administrative law assisting clients maintain their security clearances and livelihood through federal employment.
Anny is looking forward to her work with Owenby Law, P.A., and hopes to continue to help clients with compassion and professionalism.
