Debbie Lee-Clark
Senior Attorney
DEBBIE is an experienced and dedicated attorney whose legal career spans two decades
and legal practice includes federal court litigation, insurance defense
and personal injury law, probate, estate planning, trust and estate administration.
Debbie is a true-blue Kentucky Wildcat, who obtained her undergraduate
degrees in Sociology and Economics from the University of Kentucky
summa cum laude. She obtained her juris doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School
of Law in 2000, from which she graduated
first in her class with
Highest Honors, summa cum laude. While in law school, she served on Law Review as Staff Editor, Managing
Editor and ultimately as the Advisory Managing Editor
Becoming a lawyer was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Debbie. While in college, and immediately thereafter, Debbie worked as a Human Rights Investigator and Administrator, certified by EEOC and HUD, for state and local equal employment and fair housing agencies in Kentucky. Leaving that work, she relocated across the country and began what would become successful career in transportation and logistics with Yellow Freight System, Inc., now known as YRC Worldwide. During her tenure with Yellow, she held various positions in operations, sales, management and corporate auditing.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Lee-Clark resigned from Yellow to work as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Thomas E. Morris. What started as a temporary, two-year position turned into twelve plus years as the Career Law Clerk with Judge Morris, until his retirement in late 2013. Thereafter, she opened New Life Legal, PLLC, as a solo law practice and dispute resolution firm that focused on trust and estate planning, probate, real property transactions and civil mediations of disputes in Florida circuit and federal courts. In early 2018, Debbie merged New Life Legal with the law firm of Schutt, Schmidt & Noey, adding insurance defense, personal injury and construction defects to her areas of practice. In the summer of 2021, Debbie joined Owenby Law, P.A., excited to expand and focus her legal practice on family law matters including marriage, divorce, paternity, child custody and timesharing, while continuing to serve estate planning, trust administration and probate clients.
During her free time, Debbie is passionate about volunteering with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, reading and spending time with her family and pets.
