As was previously mentioned, in the state of Florida, the legal rights of adopted parents match those of natural parents in and after a divorce. That does not mean, however, that an adopted child—particularly one who is aware that he or she is adopted—may react differently to a dissolution of marriage than a child who was naturally born to the divorcing spouses.
