About
Katherine McLaurin is an experienced trial attorney dedicated to providing strategic, results-driven representation to her clients. With a strong background in courtroom advocacy and litigation, Katherine is committed to protecting her clients’ interests and guiding them through complex legal matters with confidence and professionalism.
Prior to joining the firm, Katherine served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s 14th Judicial Circuit, where she prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases and gained extensive courtroom and trial experience. Her time as a prosecutor sharpened her skills in case strategy, witness examination, motion practice, negotiation, and trial advocacy—skills she now leverages to effectively represent clients both inside and outside the courtroom.
Katherine’s practice is focused on Florida family law litigation, where she represents clients in high-conflict and complex matters involving divorce, child custody and timesharing, paternity, child support, and post-judgment modifications and enforcement actions. She is a skilled advocate who understands that family law disputes often involve both significant legal issues and deeply personal challenges. Katherine is experienced in handling contested hearings, evidentiary proceedings, and trials, and she works diligently to develop effective litigation strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. Whether negotiating a favorable settlement or advocating in the courtroom, she is committed to achieving practical, client-focused results.
Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Pre-Law, from the University of West Florida. She later received her Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law, where she served as President of the Women’s Law Student Association and was actively involved in the Student Bar Association. Prior to becoming an attorney, Katherine worked as a legal assistant for the State Attorney’s Office and as a law clerk for a Jacksonville law firm, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal process from multiple perspectives.
Katherine is known for her thorough preparation, strong advocacy, and unwavering commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for her clients. She approaches every case with professionalism, attention to detail, and a determination to protect her clients’ rights throughout every stage of the litigation process.
Outside of the office, Katherine enjoys photography, paddleboarding, and spending time with her family and her dog.
