Joseph Jordan
Associate Attorney

Attorney Joseph (Joe) Jordan attended Morehead State University where he majored in Psychology and minored in Military Science. Upon graduation from Morehead Joe entered Active Duty as an officer. He was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division where he served for seven years. During his time with the 101st he was deployed to Iraq twice, and Afghanistan once, for a total of 39 months deployed. He received two Bronze Stars, two Army Commendation Medals, and was awarded the Ordnance Corps Order of Samuel Sharpe Award along with various other medals and honors.
Following the Army Joe attended Law School at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While at law school Joe was elected as a representative to the Student Legal Education Committee, and was the Vice President of the Christian Legal Society. During his summers he worked as an intern for the Cincinnati Housing Authority, and Legal Aid Society of Columbus.
Once he graduated Law school Joe was selected as a Presidential Management Fellow with the Department of Housing and Urban Development where he investigated housing discrimination and performed compliance reviews. He then moved on to work for the Air Force as a civilian attorney, at the Pentagon, before returning to Jacksonville.
Following his time working for the government Joe began working in a variety of areas including personal injury law, administrative law, security clearance law, government employment law, military upgrade law, and veterans law. While working in these various fields Joe also attended Pepperdine University, Caruso College of Law, and was awarded his Masters of Law (L.L.M.), in Dispute Resolution.
He brought his knowledge in a wide variety of areas to Owenby Law. His current areas that he practices are Dissolution of Marriage, Paternity, Enforcement/Modification, Alimony, Child Support, Timesharing, and Estate Planning. His knowledge and his time serving our country gave him a great perspective on the importance of practicing in the family law arena. Joe aspires to maintain the highest level of professionalism and dedication when working for and with his clients.
When Joe is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching sports, playing sports (especially golf), and reading.
