These fraudulent emails, texts and calls are requesting or demanding to be paid in order to help their family members and may include requests for travel expenses or expenses for a large inheritance. Please be aware these email messages, phone calls or text messages are not from us and we are not affiliated with them in any way. If you have received one of these phone calls, email messages or text messages with our business name or the name of any of our attorneys or our addresses attached, please disregard it. We are coordinating with the Florida Bar and law enforcement to find the source of these fraudulent phone calls, email messages and text messages. In addition, we have been informed of mailers that appear to be from “Owenby Law Firm” recommending “Fathers Custody Center” for families going through a divorce. Please be aware these letters are not from us and we do not endorse “Fathers Custody Center,” nor are we connected with them in any way. If you have received one of these letters with our name attached, please disregard it. We are coordinating with the Florida Bar and law enforcement to find the source of these fraudulent messages. We take the security of our customers seriously. Please be aware that Owenby Law, P.A. will never ask for sensitive information such as passwords, credit card details, or personal identification via phone calls, text messages, or email messages. If you receive an email or text that looks suspicious or asks you to click on a link or download an attachment, do not open it, click any links, or download any files. If you’re unsure whether an email, text or phone call is genuinely from us, please contact our office at 904-359-5115 before taking any action.
